Ratings Are In 11/11/14: Family Guy is down and Simpsorama is up
We’re going to talk more about the Futurama/Simpsons cross-over later this week, because it was awesome and it looks as though most of you thought the same. That’s because according to Deadline, The Simpsons were up like crazy in the ratings, but Brooklyn 99 wasn’t doing any favors for the return of Family Guy. Here’s what Deadline.com had to say:
Last night Fox took the latter through time and space on The Simpsons (2.9/8) – at least if you are a Matt Groening fan looking for some Simpsorama. Mixing the best of both worlds with the now shuttered Futurama coming to the Simpsons in their own time slot, the meld proved a ratings win for Fox. After a slide last week, the 8 PM Simpsons was up 45% from its November 2 show among adults 18-49. Now yes, its lead-in last night was overrun form the Seattle Seahawks and NY Giants game. However, not only did the vet animated series move on up from the non-NFL lead-in of last week but The Simpsonsended up in fast nationals as the top rated non-sports show of the night. Family Guy(1.8/5) face planted 28% from its last original on October 19.
The Simpsons and Family Guy are-all new this Sunday Night, but suffice to say, I don’t think FOX really likes this ‘Sunday Funday’ lineup.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
