Toonami not to air final 2 episodes of Hellsing Ultimate
Cartoon Network’s Toonami programming block announced that they are unable to air episodes 9 and 10 of the Hellsing Ultimate OAV series:
So…when we started out we were told we were getting all 10 Hellsing Ultimates. And it turns out we aren’t. Sorry. We encourage you to finish the story where you can find it. We will always try to do our best, but sometimes that isn’t good enough. Enjoy it while it’s on.

Although no official announcement was given, it is believed that this relates to Funimation’s release of these episodes on DVD and BD October 28th. The OAV series featuring the Allucard the Vampire,his assistant “Police Girl” Seras Victoria, and the Hellsing organization’s battle against German Nazi vampires first started in Japan in 2006 with the final volume of the 10 episode series being released in 2012. The First English dub released was in late 2006 and as mentioned before the final two volumes will be released on October 28th of this year. Toonami began airing the series in September. Episode 6 will air this weekend, episode 7 will air November 1, and episode 8 will air on November 8.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
