The Whispers Are True: “The Legend of Vox Machina” Returns for Season 4 this June
The long-awaited rumors have finally been confirmed. Today, Amazon MGM Studios officially announced that the critically acclaimed animated fantasy series “The Legend of Vox Machina” will return for its fourth season on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
The announcement comes as a relief to the “Critter” community, who have been speculating about the show’s future since the dramatic conclusion of the Chroma Conclave arc in Season 3.
A Year of Separation and a New Threat
According to the official synopsis provided by Prime Video, Season 4 picks up roughly one year after the fall of the Cinder King. The members of Vox Machina have largely gone their separate ways, seeking personal purpose, family connections, and a much-needed respite from the world-ending stakes of their previous adventures.
However, the peace is short-lived. A “long-slumbering evil” has begun to stir, threatening to undo the stability the heroes fought so hard to achieve. The new season will follow the team as they are forced to reunite and face an epic foe that may be their most dangerous challenge yet.

Prime Video is sticking to its successful rollout strategy for the series. Season 4 will consist of 12 episodes, released in weekly batches:

The series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
