Watch: Matt Groening talks inception of ‘Simpsons’ theme
Danny Elfman’s rendition of The Simpsons opening theme is arguably the most iconic of pop culture. The only other songs I can think of that could be of that ilk are maybe the theme songs for Jeopardy, Monday Night Football, and maybe even South Park.
So how did the Simpsons theme come about? Well, Matt Groening recently did a quick sound bite on how the idea of the theme song came about and make sure to see Matt, The Simpsons characters and your favorite songs live at “The Simpsons Take the Bowl,” Sept. 12-14 at the Hollywood Bowl.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
