Reddit AMA Recap: Sarah Chalke talks Rick and Morty and Jay Chandrasekhar talks ‘Potfest’ animated film

Yesterday, Sarah Chalke and Jay Chandrasekhar took part in a Reddit AMA mainly in support of a new series the duo are working on for Amazon called Really. Both answered a variety of questions, but not a TON of animated notes. However Sarah did talk about how she got the part of ‘Beth’ in Adult Swim’s hit series Rick and Morty:

I auditioned over the phone with dan harmon and justin roiland from my friends cabin in canada. having the best time doing it. theyre so dman talented. someone recently tweeted at me…’sarah has finally found the best place for her looks #animation’ people on reddit seem much kinder.

 Unfortunately, Sarah really doesn’t have a lot of input on the written scripts or her character: 

not with the writing. justin and dan and all the writers are super talented – i can’t wait to read the new episodes when i get them. we mostly record them as written with the occasional improv-ed burp.

Finally, the brilliant Jay Chandrasekhar said it was unlikely that the Beerfest spinoff, Potfest would be an animated film saying instead a live-action sounds way more probable.
