Ratings Are In: Simpsons and/or Family Guy SOARS with huge numbers

Holllly shit. How good was Sunday Funday? Well, the animation portion anyway. Apparently, Brooklyn 99 didn’t bring the spike that FOX had intended to probably because no one gives a shit about that show. The Simpsons AND Family Guy however both returned with brand-new episodes that fucking SOARED in the ratings. According to Deadline.com:
The NFL lead-in and possibly the buzz surrounding the demise of a character boosted The Simpsons (3.9), up 34% from last fall’s season premiere.
The Simpsons also helped Family Guytake a leap at 9 PM. The hour-long Simpsons Guy crossover episode of Seth MacFarlane’s animated comedy delivered a 4.5 in 18-49, up a big 73% from last fall’s season premiere and the series’ highest-rated episode in four years.
Sunday Night’s numbers are proof, that people love cartoons and if you put a little extra creative muscle into them, THOSE are the kind of numbers you get. This week sees the series premier of Bob’s Burgers, so it will be interesting to see what kind of numbers that can bring with similar circumstances.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
