FXX to air music-themed marathon ahead of live performance
As I mentioned earlier, The Simpsons Live will be happening this weekend, and FXX wants to make sure you have a suitable pre-game for people going OR a good alternative for people not going. According to The Boston Herald, FXX will be airing a music-themed marathon tomorrow starting @ 8 pm and will include the following episodes:
- 8:00 pm – “Marge vs. The Monorail” (Season 4) – Song highlighted at Bowl event: “Monorail Song.”
- 8:30 pm – “Homer’s Barbershop Quartet” (Season 5) – Song: “Baby on Board.”
- 9:00 pm – “Homer the Great” (Season 6) – Song: “We Do – The Stonecutters Song.”
- 9:30 pm – “Two Dozen and One Greyhounds” (Season 6) – Song: “See My Vest.”
- 10:00 pm – “Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part 2” (Season 7) – Song: “Señor Burns.”
- 10:30 pm – “A Fish Called Selma” (Season 7) – Songs: “Dr. Zaius” and “Chimpan A to Chimpan Z.”
- 11:00 pm – “Bart After Dark” (Season 8) – Song: “We Put the Spring in Springfield.”
- 11:30 pm – “Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala(Annoyed Grunt)cious” (Season 8) – Song: “Minimum Wage Nanny.”
“‘The Simpsons’ Take the Bowl!” will be hosted by “Simpsons” voice actor Hank Azaria, and will feature clips of the Fox animated show accompanied by live performances from the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Voice actors Nancy Cartwright and Yeardley Smith will perform with guest appearances including Beverly D’Angelo, Jon Lovitz, “Weird Al” Yankovic and more. Series co-creator Matt Groening will share behind-the-scenes stories from the show.
The 26th season of “The Simpsons” will premiere at 8 p.m. on Sept. 28 on Fox.

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
