This Fan-made Simpsons/Family Guy Crossover Will Melt Your Brain

Fake Crossover

Directors Jonathan Gran and Danielle Kogan apparently can’t wait for the Simpsons/Family Guy crossover. So much so that they made their own take on it, and posted it to YouTube.

The video’s description identifies it as “Family Guy / Simpsons Crossover ACTUAL REAL leak Full Episode” but that’s obviously just a hook. The actual clip is only four minutes long, and is basically a re-imagined version of the trailer we’ve all already seen. Re-imagined after taking loads of meth, from the look of it.

Compared to the real shows, this version is totally over-the-top, and resembles Superjail!, King Star King, or even Ren & Stimpy much more than it does for the actual shows it is spoofing.

And that’s just fine.

The product is almost so unwatchable that you feel compelled to continue watching it. So poorly animated that it’s actually incredibly well executed. So offensively non-Simpsons and non-Family Guy that it cuts to the very heart of what makes those shows work. So dumb that it’s brilliant. It’s such a blatant rip-off, yet contains images so unique that one forgets how it’s only mimicking something we’ve already seen. Sure, there will be a long, drawn-out fight in the real crossover, much like Family Guy’s chicken fights – but will that one have Bart riding a bomb a la Dr. Strangelove while descending from a Nazi blimp? Not likely.

So if you have the time to spare, watch it. I highly encourage it.

Sorry. And you’re welcome.
