Robot Chicken producer to present at Montreal Stop Mo festival

 

The sixth annual Montreal Stop Motion festival kicks off on  September 26-28 in the J.A. de Sève Theater at Concordia University (1453 Mackay Street, Montreal) and will feature Adult Swim’s own Stop-mo darling Robot Chicken.

Alex Kamer, animation director on Robot Chicken, will join the festival on Friday, September 26th to kick things off. Kamer will talk about some of the highlights of his career in stop motion before moving onto a behind-the-scenes look at the production of Robot Chicken. Some of the show’s most beloved characters will also be on display during the talk.

This years festival will showcase Kamer as a professional from the field of Stop Motion animation who will then take audiences behind the scenes of the television series Robot Chicken. 

A talk with Alex Kamer, Animation Director on Robot Chicken will happen Friday, September 26: 7:00 p.m.

Robot Chicken is the brainchild of Seth Green and Mathew Senreich. Based on popular super-heroes and various characters from childhood, they parody the pop culture conventions with fast paced sketches to create hilarious comedic situations using stop motion animation.

Alex Kamer has been working for several years on the series and now serves as Animation Director on its seventh season! Alex will talk about some of the highlights of his career in stop motion, beginning with how he got into it right up to his work on Robot Chicken.  He will also share his insights and a behind-the-scenes look at the production work and how they adapt to work in a fast paced environment. Some of the beloved character of the show will also be on display.
