Man Builds Awe-Inspiring Springfield Out of Legos
This has been quite the year for Lego and The Simpsons, first with the official Simpsons Lego house, then the Lego-themed episode “Brick Like Me” – and the relationship just keeps building.
Lego enthusiast Matt De Lanoy has constructed a replica of The Simpsons’ hometown of Springfield completely from scratch, and it is insanely impressive. Think Will Ferrell’s model in The Lego Movie – but much more Simpsons-y.
From the snaps on his Flickr page, you can spot numerous recognizable landmarks, such as Moe’s Tavern, the Kwik-E-Mart, Android’s Dungeon, Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, and of course the Simpsons and Flanders households. There’s even a Stonecutters HQ & tire fire!
Clearly De Lanoy’s passion for The Simpsons is rivaled only by his imagination and artistic (or engineering) abilities when it comes to the world’s favorite building blocks.
Looks like the only thing he’s missing is a dilapidated monorail. And maybe an escalator to nowhere.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
