First Look Recap: Star Wars: Rebels “The Machine in the Ghost”

Disney has graced us with a three minute preview of Star Wars: Rebels! Find out what we think of it after the jump!

There’s a lot of titles that I take to heart. The one that matters in this case is “Bubbleblabber’s Resident Star Wars Expert.” Don’t worry, when it comes to being an expert, I know there are a lot more people who know a whole lot more than me.

The preview for “The Machine in the Ghost” had a dog fight with the Imperial forces chasing down Kanan, Hera, and Chopper, or the Jedi, the pilot, and the grumpy astromech droid. The team feels like a misfit bunch of losers, but manage to get through the battle. The best part of this preview was Chopper. Chopper may beep like R2D2, but he has actual mannerisms.

I have nothing bad to say so far with Star Wars Rebels so far. The animation is top notch, but I haven’t seen enough to say it’s better than Dragons: Defenders of Berk. The shadowing inside the cockpit, and the spot illumination when Kanan shoots the cannons looks great.
