Conan To Perform “The Monorail Song” At Simpsons Live Show
We fully expected more famous named to be added to “The Simpsons Take the Bowl,” but this one is a real treat: Conan O’Brien, writer of the “Marge vs. the Monorail” episode, will appear and perform “The Monorail Song.”
“Two days before I left to come to England, my phone rang and it was The Simpsons,” Conan told Buzzfeed UK. “They said that they were doing a live show at the Hollywood Bowl, and all the actors are going to do the voices, and, ‘Would you be a special guest star and sing ‘The Monorail Song’ with the Los Angeles Gay Men’s Choir?’ And the answer there is ‘YES.’”
Conan will of course be filling in for the irreplaceable Phil Hartman, voice of monorail-pushing con artist Lyle Lanley (and Troy McClure, Lionel Hutz, etc.), who was tragically and senselessly taken from us in 1998.
Tickets are still available, so be sure to grab one before they sell out & start going for two million dollars on StubHub. (Don’t you mean three million dollars?)
In addition to three nights in Hollywood on September 12th, 13th, and 14th, The Simpsons will also be doing shows in Brockway, Ogdenville, and North Haverbrook. It’ll really put them on the map.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
