Shorts Review: “Chainsaw Richard” (Cartoon Hangover Shorts Ep. 7)
We’ve all been there: we want to see the new big movie blockbuster but have no money. What would you do, if you were a Tiny Ghost and his human friend Ramses? Something magical, something dodgy?…Find out below in Chainsaw Richard.
The latest episode Cartoon Hangover’s Summer Shorts, Chainsaw Richard, is by the writer and artist of Feel Afraid web-comic, Christopher Reineman. The art in the short is very much to his style and the action if full on and cray-cray and “Super”-Natural.
Don’t go in that magical looking portal dude, surely seeing a film is not worth your mortal soul? Or maybe it is, after all: Chainsaws!! I loved this romp which harked back to an earlier time when you could actually sneak into cinema’s for free, or, at the very least, buy one ticket and just sit there all day, I loved doing that, how is it little thrills like this are such a big deal when you’re a kid? Why can’t you do that anymore?
This healthy dose of nostalgia mixed with weird happenings and giant spiders mean I’d love to see more of Christopher Reineman‘s adventures of a ghost and his bud but time will tell which will be this year’s Bee and Puppycat for Cartoon Hangover and go viral and get to be commissioned for a full series. If I had my way, it would be all the Carton Hangover shorts, but I’m easily pleased.

Beautiful art direction wins Cartoon Hangover and Chainsaw Richard another 8 from me.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
