Shorts Review: Red vs Blue Season 12 Episode 12
Carolina and Church have told the crew how they reunited with the Reds and Blues. The counterattack should commence, but only if they can finish with this reunion first.
Spoilers
This story has had the pedal going from the first episode, and while the reunion is still going, Carolina is getting patched up by Dr. Grey. Church comes out of Carolina’s helmet, and Caboose is trying to hide the fact that he missed Church. Washington gives Grey the proper introductions of Carolina and Church, and Grif wants some answers. Carolina tells the group that Project Freelancer is dead, and it has nothing to do with the Feds and Republic. Tucker, however, has some resentment towards Church. Church then flat out calls Tucker a whiny bitch for being pissed Carolina and Church leaving. Carolina and Church did some investigating, and found all of the soldiers and abandoned cities very odd.
Carolina pieced together that all of the Freelancer weapons that were confiscated by the UNSC was on board the ship that crashed last season, and got stolen by this mysterious third faction. Someone wanted the ship to crash. Someone managed to make sure that this ship hit that planet. Now, because of this, these two factions are ready to blow up, and Tucker isn’t satisfied with just letting them blow each other to hell. Tucker wants to use the teleportation cubes, but Carolina and Church think that the mercenaries have Doyle and Kimball under surveillance. Elsewhere, Felix and Locus confirm that both generals are shadowed by snipers, and no one from either team is allowed to make it to their generals. Control wants the Reds and Blues used as martyrs and be the catalysts for the war that is about to boil over.
Well, if this doesn’t set up what’s going to be the most possible outcome for the season, I don’t know what will. I may be over thinking this, but it’s rather obvious now that Felix and Locus are going to get their sides of the war to go at it. But the Reds and Blues are going to sweep in and save the day. The question is, do the snipers go to kill off the generals, or the Reds and Blues? I am glad to see that the animators are getting better with integrating the CG. They are using entire scenes again for the CG, instead of trying to awkwardly splice it in and out of the game footage. The motion capturing on this was very good, considering you need Felix to take a knife out of someone’s face. As the series gets further on in the season, things are only getting better.
The end game is in sight, and the two factions are banging on the drums of war. This is a great set up episode, and next week’s episode is sure to bring fireworks. You can watch this, as well as all of the latest episodes of Red vs. Blue, right here.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
