Shorts Review: Gentleman Lobsters ‘Garrett and Quinn Deal With an Ex Girlfriend’
For the second episode of the all-new GQ series, Garrett is expecting his ex-gf to come over and pick up the rest of her shit after a recent move out. Quinn plays the best friend whom is sorta like the Ryan Reynolds character in every movie he’s ever done, where he tries his best to talk his friend out of being a bitch. The poor girl drops by, and even while suffering from scoliosis, gets ZERO help from anyone of THESE gentlemen.
Comedically, this episode is a bit funnier than the last issue, and I’m starting to warm up to its Life and Times of Tim animation style. Problem is, the series doesn’t work as hard as Tim did. Tim went to different locales, had better sound effects, and the punch lines RIPPED. This show, has none of that yet. Can it get there with time? Maybe. But, I doubt GQ is this patient.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
