Shorts Review: Battlefield Friends “Commander Online”

How the fuck does Noob get all of the cool shit?

 Spoilers Below

What’s funny about the Commander, is that no matter how good the person thinks, no one listens to the Commander. This goes doubly so for someone who can’t understand Alpha, Beta, and so on. That’s where Noob is. Noob manages to get his hands on the commander position, but none of the BFF squad listens to him. Noob wants them to capture “Dracula,” because he wants SCUD missiles. He drops some ammo on Medic, which just causes them to not listen again. He tries to get a different squad to do it, but they tell him to piss off. Back to the BFF squad, Noob wants them to capture “Dracula,” but they aren’t having it. Now, Noob drops a quad on Medic, who goes to sleep because of it. Just as Noob launches a UAV, he gets proxy hacked by the enemy commander, which Noob freaks out about. That only lulls the enemy commander into a false sense of security, because he gets killed by General.

This was one aspect of Battlefield 4 that I never had any experience with. I never played as a Commander, because I wanted to shoot people. I never played aside a Commander, so, it just shows that it was an unneeded feature. Putting Noob in this worked really well, because his uselessness shows how useless the Commander position really is. I think you needed a tablet or something. Who knows, because we probably won’t see it in Battlefield: Hardline. This is a decent episode, but a lot of it was lost on me. Lack of experience with this will do it.
