Shorts Review: 16-Bit High School “Excite Biker Gang”
Jimmy gets a bike, but can he end up getting Epona’s pink slip?
Spoilers Ahead!
Jimmy gets an accessory from one of the greatest games in the early days of the Nintendo Entertainment System. He gets a bike from Excitebike. That doesn’t exactly thrill Maria, who wants nothing to do with it. Epona, however, thinks it’s kind of cool, and tells him about a racer crew. He brings his clunker of a bike, and gets laughed at. He challenges the douchebag (who looks like a bad Captain Falcon) to a race for Epona’s pink slip, but adds that he can kill Jimmy if he loses and says its a game of chicken. Well, before the game can even begin, the Blue Falcon-like car explodes, because Maria blew it up with a red turtle shell. She won Epona’s pink slip, while Jimmy’s bike falls apart.
Being a very old ass dude, I loved playing Excitebike. Unfortunately, that bike sucked. The amount it sucked was brought to light, considering the rides the other racers had. Maria coming in on a kart was awesome, because the only good Mario Kart was the first one. I like how they make Jimmy look like such a tool, because the series needs that one bad. It’s another solid episode for 16-Bit High. Watch it here.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
