Rooster Teeth Expands Into Video Game Development With In-House Produced ‘RWBY’ Video Game!
Not only did we have an AnimeExpo this past weekend, but Rooster Teeth’s hugely popular RTX was also going nuts and the producers of such web shows as RwBy and Red vs Blue didn’t sit back and take things easy. Nope…these guys showed up packing.
Just announced by Rooster Teeth is the development of a brand-new game inspired by RwBy. No word yet as to when the game will release, however a press release tells us this:
The RWBY video game will be a multi-player, team-based game featuring characters and environments from the hit RWBY web series. Players will play as Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang, using each character’s magical powers and weapons against supernatural monsters and adversaries as they battle to save the world of Remnant.
Matt Hullum has said in a statement that fans can expect to see the same amount of comedy, action, and design from the RwBy game as we get from the awesome web series of which Volume 2 is also on the way for a premier on July 24th on RoosterTeeth.com. Get a trailer for that here.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
