Homestar Runner coming back!
Homestar Runner was like the prehistoric cartoon headquarters before there was Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, any of that. Producers Mike Chapman and Craig Zobel knew something that the rest of the world didn’t at the time…that cartoons can be just as funny at your finger tips as anything on TV. The site was more or less shuttered in 2010, and head writer Matt Chapman went on to be a writer for Disney’s hit series Gravity Falls which is getting set to kick off its second season this August. But, that could all change.
Turns out, Matt was recently on the Jeff Rubin Podcast where he dropped the news that new Homestar Runner AND Strong Bad Email cartoons will be returning THIS FALL. He says this about the return:
“When we did that April Fools’ update this year, way more people looked at it than we ever even imagined would have at this point. Our goal — we did that thing as sort of a test to get back into doing it. We’d love to start making things again,” Chapman said on the podcast.
No specific return date has been announced, and furthermore it will be interesting to see if the Brothers Chapman will continue to make content on their own Homestar Runner site or if they will adopt Youtube?

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
