Comics Review: Black Dynamite #3
Spoilers Below
This was personally, my first run at the Black Dynamite comics. Why? Well, I decided to give Cybertron the night off and more over I’ve been in a Black Dynamite mood as of late as the other day I reviewed the Season One Blu-Ray that just came out. This week’s issue comes off as a bit of a transition piece to what should be a rather interesting finale. Black Dynamite heads to Tibet where he comes across local Shaolin warriors being threatened by a weird like Neo-Nazi/Kung Fu type tribe that are building warriors that would make Dr. Frankenstein blush.
The issue with the Black Dynamite series is that…it’s just not Black Dynamite. Instead of a the spoof of blaxploitation films that helped America fall in love with the iconic character, has been replaced by a legit martial-arts style comic that draws shades of Daredevil crossed with something out of a Bruce Lee movie. Fans of either the movie or the animated series, be warned. When you grab this shit…be prepared for something WAY different than what you are used to.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
