Shorts Review: Stoopid Buddy Shortz – “Hockey Horse”

This short reminds us that there’s nothing quite as awesome as a Roadhouse-like scene where someone kicks the ass of everyone in a bar… especially if it’s a horse. “Hockey Horse” opens the same way every bar fight scene starts: with someone getting hustled. And after a few threats and horse puns get thrown around, the battle begins.

Hockey Horse obviously has the advantage throughout. Between breaking arms, kicking faces and breaking people’s backs to make them look like hockey sticks and hitting other people with them, Hockey Horse did it all. But despite his obvious hockey-inspired fighting style, he denies his hockey-playing history when an old coach straight out of Cool Runnings calls him out on it. The sign of a true badass is not telling anyone how badass you are… and farting for no reason at the climax of the short.
