Shorts Review: Stoopid Buddy Shortz – “Beach Bros!”
Spoilers Below
“Beach Bros!” aptly captures an experience many of us hate: talking to strange girls. And while this short takes a bit of a unsavory turn near the end, it is hard not to relate to at least the first 90 percent of it. It opens on two disembodied voices watching and talking about two girls sun bathing on the beach from the water. As the camera shifts, we see two sea animals, a dolphin and a jellyfish, discussing the pros and cons of approaching the young ladies. Eventually, the jellyfish plucks up the courage to nervously approach them.
Unfortunately for the jellyfish, the human girls freak out to being “hit on” by a jellyfish and begin hit and kicking him. You know… the way you’d usually respond to seeing a walking jellyfish… Then the episode turns. One of the girls gets stung by kicking the jellyfish (duh) and her friend, like every person that has ever been near another person that got stung by a jellyfish, insists she can pee on it to make it better. And after a final camera shift, we see the dolphin pleasuring himself to the girls peeing on each other. Did you feel like that took a dramatic shift from delightful relatable to unnecessarily gross? Yeah… me too. Still pretty funny in the beginning moments despite the out-of-nowhere ending.
Dude, Where’s My Beach?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
