Shorts Review: 16-Bit High School “Worship Kratos or Die”

Everyone’s favorite Greek usurper has made his way to 16-Bit High!

So, the debate of keeping the Pledge hits 16-Bit High, and Maria takes a stand. She doesn’t believe in the God of Battle, so she sits down, and not participating in the pledge. This takes everyone by surprise, and earns Maria detention. According to her, it’s the apathy of the situation that keeps feeding into keeping the pledge in school. She looks to Mega Kid to back her up, but he’s about 4 cups deep into that Kool-Aid jug. After protesting outside of the school, Mega Kid gives her the idea to talk to Kiltos Jr, the son of the Kiltos. She goes to talk to the goth kid, and starts a God of War-like quick time event, until Kiltos himself shows up. Maria refuses to believe in Kiltos, which just makes him mad and assume the fetal position and await assistance. Yes, Kiltos is a pussy.

This episode is a direct parallel to the debates I find my Facebook in almost everyday. To some, I am a god-hating heathen. To others, I am like Maria, and just don’t believe in it. This just kicked a lot of people in the dick, especially when they find out that their god could also be a big, giant pussy just like Kiltos.

I’m glad to see Maria finally get some time to shine, because we didn’t see a lot of her so far. The battle near the end looked awesome, especially when Maria was charging up that mega fireball. The QTE moment was worth it as well. Religious debate aside, it was a good episode. Watch it here.
