Review: King Star King ”Chunkles and Smear”

Chunkles and Smear show up to the waffle house and cause all sorts of disarray leaving discipline in the hands of King Star King. Unfortunately, their mother Baroness is RIGHT behind and she’s not happy about the fact that there are other people out there disciplining her children other than her! As a result, she threatens to destroy all, but KSK steps up and offers to bang her out in exchange for everyone’s well being. The two decide to hop on into a different dimension where KSK LITERALLY gets inside her giving her pleasure that she hasn’t felt in years.

In the meantime, the kids are left with Gurbles, Hank, and Pooza whom collectively could fuck up a cup of coffee. The three end up frying the kids in a vat of oil, JUST in time for mama to come home. Fortunately, she was looking for a snack anyway and everyone goes back to work.

The series continues to hit strides in a ton of different areas. The character designs are some of the best I’ve ever seen, but more over the gross animations are so alluring and random that you really don’t know what to expect next. Rachel Butera certainly is owed some kudos for the range in her voice whether it’d be in her role as the Baroness or as Smear, but really everyone is rather solid. King Star King also holds the dubious distinction in certainly being the goriest show in the history of Adult Swim, which I think is saying something given Adult Swim’s impressive history. Could King Star King have been a TV series? Maybe on HBO, but overall it’s definitely a presentation way too extreme for cable TV.
