Bravest Warriors just wrapped its second season on Friday for Cartoon Hangover, and while Cassie called it perfect, fans still were buzzing with questions which makes a great case for show producer Breehn Burns to stop by Reddit to do an AMA.

One of the things that was interesting to learn about Bravest Warriors, was that despite the fact that the series was created by Pen Ward for Adventure Time, he no longer has any real involvement with the production according to Mr. Burns:

Pen isn’t involved with the show anymore. He created it, made the pilot and then passed the show to me. Every now and then I ask him for advice but it’s all unofficial

However, it looks like fans of Bravest Warriors shouldn’t be worried about the transition, furthermore, Breehn mentions that he is actually looking to EXPAND the run-time for Bravest Warriors Season three which should premier after the first season of Bee and Puppycat:

I’m writing six 11-minute episodes for season 3 right now.

But where does the show pick up after the finale?

I considered our S2 finale a three-part episode. Part one showed what Chris was up to while the others were fighting Pickle Chips. I wanted Beth to have a chance to face her dad without Chris around.

The Season three premiere is a Chris episode, picking up right after he escapes the Parasox Pub. I”m working on a Plum timeline script for the sixth episode

However, were you as surprised as Cassandra when she noticed the intertwining of both the web series and comics? Turns out, there was a reason for that:

We have ideas about the longer story arcs, but it can be hard to fit that stuff into such short cartoons. I had so much of it I started putting it in the comics, issues 17-20

There’s a whole bunch more in the Reddit AMA featuring Breehn Burns, which you can read here, including a rather long description of how the show gets produced.

So are you guys pumped for Season 3?
