This story goes a page into normalcy, until we get news from the Professor that they need to go to the Sauce Planet for a delivery to go to Tony Marinara in New Brooklyn. You realize that everyone is trying to get laid while on Sauce Planet, especially Leela. Leela, Fry, and Bender make it to Sauce Planet. Oddly enough, Alec and Sofia are already acting shifty. He orders Sofia and Giadabot to keep the men busy until the ship is loaded. The ship is loaded, and back in space, until they’re attacked by a ricotta powered Canoli ship. Leela goes in, and explodes the canoli.

Planet Express makes it to Tony Marinara’s, and start to unload. That is, until The Food, Drug, and Illegal Alien Police bust the drop. Alec and Sofia his on board to get off, and they were smuggling illegals in via the sauce. The Sauce Planet goons, Tony Marinara, and the Planet Express guys are all arrested. Leela, Fry, and Bender got out on Hyper Chicken’s moron defense. The Sauce Planet guys are sentenced to four years in prison, but use morse code to get Bender and fry to save them. Bender jacks the prison van, and they’re holed up at Planet Express.

Marinara finds this out, and goes to retrieve his workers. It turns out that Sofia and Alec are Tony’s kids, and he wanted them to take the sentence, get clones in, and they’d be gone. He brings the robot gangsters, and talks Sofia and Alec into leaving with him, leaving Giadabot with Bender. Weeks later, Giadabot got a job hosting a cooking show, and Bender booted her to the curb. They talk about the aliens secreting into the sauce, as the Professor brings a pizza in. They all scarf down the pizza as the issue comes to a close.

Alright, this comic ranks in at Casino. It was pretty good, but you were expecting some more. I was hoping for Fry or someone not Bender to get involved in the business, but that never came to fruition. I felt that the beginning of the comic, where Bender, Fry, and Leela are doing their  best to act and dress sexy, so they can bang out the Sauce Planet workers. I found it rather lazy. At least they made Leela look like a slutty Jersey Shore wannabe.

Bad opening aside, the comic was fun to read. I liked the pizza mafia story we got. I generally enjoy gangsters in the Bongo comics. As much as I ragged on Leela looking like a better version of JWoww from Jersey Shore, It fit the motif very well. I think they should have went all the way with it, and get Fry and Bender in on it, but I will take the wins when I can get them.

This was a good comic, and definitely worth the $3.00.
