Spoilers Below

Axe Cop and his wife are sitting in Flute Cop’s presidential office, when Super Axe calls him for help with the Food Force Three at the Hawaiian restaurant he was in. While on his way to the restaurant, Axe Cop tells him how to kill the Food Force. Captain Axe shows up, with his metal frisbee shield, and chops their heads off with an assist from Super Axe. Captain Axe says there are two more, but Axe Cop already killed the other two. They need to find their boss, so the three Axes make their way to a former associate, Mr Chicken-Chicken Slice.

Chicken-Chicken Slice has a deep seeded hatred of the Food Force, because they framed him for being the mastermind. They make it to Mr. Watermelon’s headquarters, where they chop him into watermelon slices. Captain Axe is resenting that Axe Cop is giving orders, but Axe Cop just doesn’t care. We get some back story of how Captain Axe made to Earth. They go back into the city, where Captain Axe passes out at the sight of the Robozorkabocks. Axes don’t work, so Captain Axe turns the RV into a giant, flying, monster truck with turrets, and they mow down all of the plants.

They make it to Axe Cop’s restaurant, so they can get served by the greatest ham cook on Earth. While eating, they decide to become The American Choppers, and put together a press conference to announce the team. They also announce that they are looking for team members, only if they use axes. Axe Girl, her mom, Ralph Wrinkles, and Axe Goat all join the team, but Axe Cop rejects the Chain Saw Three on their YouTube video. The Chainsaw Three turn out to be lumberjack minions of Satan. A couple days later, Axe Cop got new axes for his team, which turn out to be possessed axes. The last panel has a bunch of axe faced men with axe hands crashing through a window.

This comic is as fucked up as the web comic. What makes it even better, is that the details and inking are on par with the show. This is rather bittersweet, because the show is in limbo. The story is pretty out there, like every other Axe Cop comic. So there’s nothing really to complain about. Looking back to the first comic until now, you can see how Malachai has progressed with his story telling. This book feels like it’s broken down into three acts, with each act being broken down into three acts. This was a great issue one, with hopefully more to come.
