Netflix to increase sub prices
The Wrap is reporting that Netflix will increase its subscription cost by $1 to $2 later this year for NEW SUBSCRIBERS. This is after Amazon did the same thing, so I’m sure company CEO Reed Hastings really wanted the raise so that he can blow past financial revenue expectations later this year.
The author of the article even points out that only 10 percent of Netflix’s content is original which starting later this year will include a brand-new animated series called BoJack starring Will Arnett in the titular role. That said, CCO Ted Sarandos promises that more money will be put into investing in original content sooner rather than later so hopefully this means more originals or maybe even free agent pickups on shows like Beavis and Butthead and Futurama.
Do you Netflix subscribers justify the price hike at all and see a good value? Or do you think this is bullshit?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
