The Boondocks – Release Date, Pricing Found for ‘The Complete Set’ and ‘Complete 4th Season’

TVShowsonDVD is reporting that The Boondocks ‘The Complete Set’ and ‘Complete Fourth Season’ are both coming out the same day on June 24th. The Complete Set is going to run almost a $100 while the Fourth Season is about $41 with no signs of artwork or special features news to speak of. However, the timing of the release is rather strange don’t you think?

The Boondocks is slated to give us 20 episodes for its last season, so either one of two things are going to happen. 1) The home releases are going to come out WAY before the season airs on Adult Swim or 2) We are getting two episodes a week every week starting sometime soon. The reason why I say that is because if you count for the next 20 weeks, your series finale for The Boondocks doesn’t happen until September 15th when you factor in two Mondays being holidays (Independence Day and Labor Day) so if Adult Swim were going to air two episodes a week to finish in time for the home release, well then they’d literally have to start next week or so. Not that that would be a bad thing either because the ratings for The Boondocks have been off the wall, so I’m sure the network wouldn’t mind winning another half-hour every Monday Night.
