Shorts Review: Smosh Babies #19 “The Evil Toilet”
It really is painful sometimes to watch Smosh Babies, not for the obvious reasons of some of the episodes being eye-gougingly awful, but because some episodes come so close to being good but just drop the ball in its execution. Anyway let’s start from the beginning, Anthony is going to the bathroom (which brings back some continuity from a previous episode shockingly) until he gets attacked by it and forced to flee. The rest of the episode details Anthony’s struggle to get anyone to help him but in the end he can’t get any of his friends to help so he faces the toilet himself. Toilet vs. Baby.
Then after the “fight,” Anthony has this delusional episode where he sells his soul to a shoe and a fly swatter. Why a shoe and a fly swatter? Maybe a plunger and toilet paper made too much sense, or more likely the writer didn’t give himself enough time to finish the punchline of the episode. So, what we end up with is an episode that doesn’t feel complete and just ends on a WTF ending because apparently that’s better then no ending.
Other than that, there’s really nothing else to comment strongly on. The animation didn’t have any major errors in it unlike previous episodes, an the writing of most of the jokes was actually… funny. I know, shocking. The writing in this episode (in the beginning) felt like it had enough time to develop its humour, even throwing in one to two points of continuity. Thankfully Smosh Babies survives this episode by not being terrible but just disappointing with its lack of a conclusive joke or ending.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
