Review: Uncle Grandpa “Viewer Special”
Spoilers Below
A guy named Kevin gets to draw the next episode of Uncle Grandpa using a magic pen. Belly Bag doesn’t seem to like this kid and his premonitions may have been right as this kid comes up with a tropical apocalypse with a giant knife. The knife comes to life and starts shooting up all of the characters, and now this kid is having a good time. That is until Kevin starts drawing up monsters and volcanoes blasting off alien skulls. Eventually Kevin gets pissed off and redraws the characters of Uncle Grandpa. At first, hope seems lost, but Uncle Grandpa convinces Kevin to draw a third arm with a chainsaw which allows him and EVERYONE in the TV to come to life and attack Kevin. Kev decides to draw some erasers so that Gus, Steve, and Uncle G can erase all of the characters and set the trio back to their original form.
Xarna
Xarna needs gas for her bike, so she takes down a monster-truck driver. A fight ensues on the moving tanker and Xarna kicks the shit out of this gross beast and is still able to stop the truck before it goes over a cliff. Or does she?
Uncle Grandpa may be Cartoon Network’s best new show of the last year. Yep, I said it. Why? Because you have NO idea what you are getting yourself into when watching it. Imagine if Superjail wasn’t completely violent, and that’s a good place to start when trying to compare this show to anything, but even that’s a stretch. The imagination behind the monsters and the worlds that are built are so unlike anything else on TV right now. The one thing I didn’t like about the opening bit was the depiction of the heavy metal kid of being full of teenage angst and wanting to draw angry things as I think that stereotype has run a bit thin in my book. However, Xarna was fucking awesome, and all Uncle Grandpa did there was just show us yet another idea for what would be an awesome TV series. Seriously, I would watch 15 episodes of Xarna over anything Bravo has on right now, that’s for sure.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
