Everything you need to know about ”TripTank” Season One
The premier of Comedy Central’s brand-new series TripTank is coming rather quick and just recently the network put out a press release detailing a bunch of awesome shit to look forward to in the upcoming season.
For starters, TripTank starts on April 2nd @ 10:30 pm ET/PT with the first run going for eight half-hour episodes. In the premiere episode we meet “Jeff and Some Aliens,” “Ricky the Rocketship” and the “Toaster Lover.” We will also find out what happens when a “Suicidal Chicken” attends his ex’s wedding, “Killer Bees” try to discover their true identity, and parents give an honest “Birds and Bees Talk.”
The big selling point for TripTank is the amount of voice talent during the course of the season and the list is impressive featuring the likes of Dave Attell, Scott Aukerman, Deidrich Bader, Vanessa Bayer, Wayne Brady, Jemaine Clement, Jon Daly, Nat Faxon, Ashley Fink, Brett Gelman, Dave Herman, Ellie Kemper, Tom Kenny, Kyle Kinane, Bobby Lee, Natasha Leggero, Justin Long, Katy Mixon, Kumail Nanjiani, Bob Odenkirk, Chris Parnell, Nasim Pedrad, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Jim Rash, Paul Reiser, Nick Swardson, Alan Tudyk, Billy West, Fred Willard and Harland Williams.
As you can tell, unlike other animated sketch shows, Comedy Central is utilizing it’s large swath of stand up comedians that have appeared on the network over the years, but with a nice balance of voice over heavy weights like Alan Tudyk, Billy West, and Chris Parnell.
Another MAJOR selling point for the series is how much variety is in the animation as not only is TripTank employing a number of different formats like 2D, stop-motion and CGI, but the show will feature a who’s who of directing talent which should make the show about as varied as you can get. So far we’ve got Tommy Blacha (“The Eric Andre Show,” “Metalocalypse”), Daniel Cardenas (“Xemoland,” “Deep Space 69”), Nick Gurewitch (PBF Comics), Evan Keogh (PBF Comics), Laura Kightlinger (“Saturday Night Live”), Jordan Morris (PBF Comics), Bill Oakley (“The Simpsons,” “Portlandia”), Bob Odenkirk (“Mr. Show,” “Breaking Bad”), Tim Saccardo (“Community”), and Greg White (“Ugly Americans,” “Brickleberry”).
Every week, Comedy Central will be getting crazy social as you can check out “TripTank” Web and mobile sites that will feature weekly previews and highlight clips from the series. Fans can also ‘Like’ the “TripTank” Facebook page, follow the show on Twitter and follow the official “TripTank” Tumblr for exclusive content from the show, including behind-the-scenes extras and a closer look at the making of “TripTank” animated sketches.
For those that are not able to catch TripTank when it originally broadcasts, episodes will be available the day after air in SD and HD on Amazon Instant Video, iTunes, Xbox Video, Sony Entertainment Network, Vudu and Verizon Flexview.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
