Bubble UK: BBC Three could be axed leaving futures of ‘Family Guy’and ‘American Dad’ in jeopardy.

Yaaaaa, another Taken joke.
Yaaaaa, another Taken joke.

According to BBC News, BBC Three will become a new internet only channel which puts the futures of American Dad and Family Guy certainly in doubt for their UK fans.

Evidently, this is all part of BBC Director’s Tony Hall at cost-cutting measures in an effort to save a bunch of money. His goal is to shave off about $100 million worth of costs by 2016 and pending a vote from the BBC governing body, BBC Three AND BBC Four could be removed from broadcast television with only BBC Three getting any interest for a move to the iPlayer service.

With a move to online, BBC would be hard-pressed to afford massive licensing fees for content from different parts of the world and this would include Family Guy and American Dad. Thereby, the licensed content could be the first to be a travesty of the budget cuts before any home-grown content does.
