AniDom Weekend Wrap Up: College Opportunities & Stereotypes

Here are some takeaways from this past Sunday’s Animation Domination:

1) I didn’t even know they could serve cheeseburgers at Bat Mitzvahs?  Now, I’m not a Jewish scholar so I could be wrong, but I have friends that are Jewish that literally have two fridges and two washing machines, one for cleaning/storing meat the other for dairy/cleaning dairy so I was really surprised to see cheeseburgers as the weapon of choice for the buffet. #Bob’sBurgers

2) It was great seeing American Dad back and I think Olivia Wilde was really good as one of the flight attendants.

3) I also prefer American Dad episodes feature Fran AND Stan doing something together which isn’t that common in other animated comedies.

4) Steve and Roger bore me sometimes #AmericanDad

5) This was one of my favorite scenes of the year for The Simpsons

6) It was interesting to hear Dan Castellaneta move between Grampa’s voice and Homer but an older Homer and the similarities that exhibit when that happens. #TheSimpsons

7)  It was rather fitting to see a ”Cleveland’s Back” promo RIGHT before the start of Family Guy. Hopefully, it quieted a bunch of naysayers out there.

8) It was AWESOME seeing Adam Carolla back as ”Death”. I really want more of that character because some of my favorite past episodes and gags were ”Death”-related. Also, you should check out Adam’s new series on Spike called To Catch a Contractor” where they hunt down contractors that do shitty construction jobs and make them redo them for free.

9) I loved the drop on Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift.

10) Mario Williams and CJ Spiller did a sound job playing themselves. I think Mario likes this Buffalo Bills team better than his time on the Houston Texans. His production is a bit more steady and he seems to like his teammates and this scheme better.
