Three Abridged Series You Need to Watch

With our coverage of the abridged series, there are some that are out that need attention. So, here’s a list of the ones you need to watch.

1. Hellsing Ultimate Abridged

This is a Halloween project by Takahata101, one of the voices behind DBZ Abridged. It follows Alucard on his ramped up antics fighting the Vatican, zombies, Nazis, and other vampires. It also features LittleKuriboh (of Yugioh Abridged, look for that later), and ShadyVox of YugiohGX Abridged. The references to pop culture are a big part of the series, from House of the Dead, to Silence of the Lambs, and then some. If you only watch one or two, this is one of the ones you NEED to watch.

2. Naruto The Abridged Comedy Fandub Spoof Series Show

For every Gangsta’s Paradise of the world, we get an Amish Paradise. Meaning, we get parodies. And in this case, we get parodies of the parodies. And that’s the niche for Naruto: TACFSSS. LittleKuriboh just rips on almost every other abridged series, Including DBZ Abridged. He takes Naruto and makes him a chain smoker, Sasuke is emo, and everybody hates Sakura. LittleKuriboh takes everyone’s perception of the characters, and writes it into the show. You need to watch it just for that.

3. Neon Genesis Evangelion One-Shot

The reason you see LittleKuriboh in every spot here, is because he knows what he’s doing. In between doing any of the 1000 projects he’s doing, he has time to do a fundraising project called Card Games for Charity. His 2012 effort was for Hurricane Sandy, and one of the prizes was that he would make a one-shot for Evangelion. It was a real good effort, and did real justice to the source material. Support his charity event, and we can get more of these types of one-offs. Luckily, I actually found a video that can be embedded. Check it out!
