Yeah, you have have to question the wisdom of putting Catbug in charge of any team, let alone the rag tag bunch of disparate souls banded together in Catbug’s Away Team, the latest offering from the Bravest Warriors. The highest compliment you can pay Catbug’s crew is that they are cute, they have no other  qualities that may help them accomplish the mission before them.

The problem ahead is; when Wankershim reached his ultimate form, in last year’s Ultra Wankershim, the resulting omniety left behind residual Wankergy which is now surrounding an unfortunate planet. Catbug and his troop of cuties are dispatched to the planet to disperse the cloud of Wankergy and free the planet from bliss. It goes about as well as you would expect…..

The second season of Bravest Warriors continues to hit all the right notes as its blend of humour and surrealism see the team in more and more unlikely situations. I have preferred the darker tones seen in this season but am not averse to the fanservice of Catbug episodes such as this one. With designs by Bob Flynn, this super cute episode makes a nice change of pace after last fortnight’s Jhonen Vasquez scripted episode, it is also, very, very funny: seeing how many times you can fit Wank into 6 minutes is always going to go right to the funny bone. Good stuff!
