Titmouse’s ”Squee” sooner rather than later?

We JUST signed up to Tumblr yesterday, and already I’m starting to love the shit out of it and this was another reason to love it. That’s because  Jhonen Vasquez recently posted an update concerning the future of Squee, an animated short film that has been circling around Titmouse for the better part of the last several years and here’s what he had to say:

Right after we announced the SQUEE! thing, I, along with Titmouse, developed a series idea for a company Titmouse was dealing with, lots of writing, character and story stuff. While that was going on, I was, and still am, developing a pitch and now pilot for another animated thing of my own.

The ‘company’ sounds like Adult Swim to me. Also, good to note that Johonen is developing other animated properties and that networks are hopefully taking note of his talents. But that doesn’t mean Squee is in the rear-view mirror:

It’s a little quieter now, and though the pilot is still going, I have a little breather from being intensely involved until some of the other team do their part, so there’s a bit more movement on SQUEE! again as of maybe two weeks back.

So there ya have it folks! Squee could be coming to us sooner rather than later! You want it?
