Shorts Review: The Mixels

Spoilers Below
Take one part The Transformers, one-part Looney Tunes, and one-part LEGO and you have a pretty good idea of what the Mixels are. They have the zaniness of the Looney Tunes in that you have different characters with unique personalities that desperately want each others’ attentions. All of the characters belong to particular factions with powers or modifications inspired by class, The Infernites are fiery and short tempered, but handy for a barbeque. The Cragsters are the industrious mining tribe and the Electroids are a quirky bunch with enough nervous energy to light up the whole world. Nixels, annoying and destructive little creatures, wreak havoc over the Mixel land trying to tear down and break apart the tribes.
My big issue with the shorts are that I have no idea what the purpose of the Mixels are and why do these characters exist? Are we building something, collecting, destroying, I really couldn’t tell from the TV shorts. People forget that with LEGO you had years and years of a company telling you that you can build whatever you want, ergo whenever a LEGO special or series aired you had an idea what you were getting into. I haven’t seen any Mixels toys yet nor even any commercials as to what they do, and I don’t know if these shorts do enough to convey the value of these characters making them worthy enough for a buy. That said, the shorts are funny, the Mixels are cute, and the series has top-notch animation with a rather great cast, but I think someone needs to get their shit together and tell me what I’m supposed to do with the Mixels.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
