Bubble UK: Watch the Second Ralph Kidson Short from Wildseed, Animal Job Centre
Have you been down the job centre recently? Do you have the feeling when they talk to you they don’t really have you in mind at all? Join the club!
This basically uncaring attitude by those paid to find you employment is felt by Graham the Squirrel as he endures a particularly fruitless encounter at the dole office in Animal Job Centre.
Sparse animation techniques are paired with oodles of character in this latest short from UK cartoonist Ralph Kidson in his second outing for Bristol’s WildSeed Studios. Simple or minimalist doesn’t sufficiently describe a cartoon in which the smallest details give it so much heart, look out for fellow interviewee behind Graham around the 2.54 mark to see what I mean. This deceptively uncomplicated cartooning translates all of the jobless’ frustration at Job Centre employees perfectly as we watch the government employee skirt round the obvious issue; he’s not actually coming up with any jobs within Graham’s skill set, namely that of being a fucking squirrel.
I was really looking forward to this short from Ralph, I love his cartoons and love animals on the internet so I wasn’t let down in anyway! Wildseed have started the year off in excellent style, with this and Ralph’s Battle at The Serengeti. If we can regularly expect creativity of this nature they should have no trouble drumming up subscribers for their YouTube channel. Lovely stuff!

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
