Amazon to release a set-top box next month?

Amazon wants to get into your living room no matter what, so to help the company will reportedly release a new set-top box in March in an effort to compete with services like Apple TV and Roku. This could be a blessing in disguise for all of the people out there that miss having South Park marathons after Netflix dropped the Viacom networks from their lineup.

Amazon swooped in and landed the online streaming rights to Viacom shows like South Park, Clone High, 3 South, and others after the Netflix drop, and with the new set-top you can check out classic episodes on your big screen. This is of course assuming that you don’t have a Playstation, XBone, TiVo, or even a Chromecast all of which have the capabilities of streaming Amazon content one way or another.

The Android-powered device will supposedly be coming out this March according to Recode.net, but no announcement has been made from Amazon.
