Review: Teen Titans Go! ‘Nose Mouth’

Teen Titans returns after a long week, but did the show start off the new year on a good note?

Spoilers Below

Robin has a pretty miserable case of sleep fighting where he goes around to people’s bedrooms and beats the shit out of them whilst they are sleeping whereas Robin has a problem with the rest of the team’s snoring. Later, when Robin looks for help from Raven with a black magic cure, at first she’s sheepish, but it works and everyone gets a good night’s sleep…cept Robin who is being kept alive by a spell.  Cyborg tends to talk a lot of shit when he does something right, so Raven casts a spell on him too to make him shut up. Soon the spell casting gets out of hand, Raven turns Beast into a balloon so she can shape him into whatever animal she wants which causes the rest of the team to band together to try and stop Raven. This motion goes into effect when Raven turns Starfire into a blonde, the rest of the Titans get together and confront Raven whom is now terrorizing the rest of the city, with hopes of getting their friend back because she is full on evil now.  Cyborg and Starfire turn Brony and turn Raven back to normal…but what about the rest of the team?

Hey that’s a good idea. Let’s get Raven (voiced by Tara Strong) to go all My Little Pony (a show which also features Tara Strong). Interestingly enough, Raven does turn bad guy in the DC lore so it was kinda cool to dip our toes into that a little. The evil effects were pretty cool and Tara is still the best, but maybe a bit TOO much invested into Pony lore.
