Review: Golan the Insatiable “A Pox on your Pox”
Spoilers Below
Golan takes Richard’s telescope and Rich is PISSED because 1) it belongs to him and 2) Golan is using it to spy on Alexis whom is getting dressed. However, we learn that a meteor shower is on the way and that Golan is looking to use the opportunity for his ride home. Unfortunately, Dylan isn’t invited and worse yet she has the chicken pox. The mayor thinks that Dylan and the family should host a ‘Chicken Pox Party’ so that they can get the pox as well so that it doesn’t spread later. Dylan loves this idea because now she gets to infect the other kids. Golan and Dylan setup an underground torture lair, but the parents come down stairs and break everything up. Despite the fact that Dylan wanted the whole neighborhood to get the chicken pox, Golan’s the only one who catches it and because of this Golan can’t go back home. Dylan looks at this as a great way to go WITH Golan back to his planet so she goes to the park and sets up a portal for the meteor shower. Problem is Golan keeps fainting and is too sick to go, so Dylan has to drag his big ass carcass to her portal. After saying goodbye to her parents, Dylan and Golan get inside the portal, but it doesn’t work. However, when Golan gets out of the portal he gets it to work just fine, but he’s not going anywhere without Dylan.
A little better than the sneak peek episode, and that’s because we are starting to learn a bit more about Golan. Turns out the titular character was tossed down here from his home world and he’s pretty much stuck here with Dylan and he wants nothing more than to leave. I am however still trying to learn more about Golan and Dylan’s relationship because at times it looks like they are backing each other up no matter what, but in this episode we saw a bit of arguing between the two which tells me the relationship is a bit more complicated than first thought. In any case, Golan is funny, but Dylan may be the best as she has the innocence if not a bit more diabolical than say Louise from Bob’s Burgers. This is a good show…keep your eye on this one.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
