Review: Bob’s Burgers ‘Slumber Party’
Spoilers Below
The topic of last night’s Bob’s Burgers episode dealt with a slumber party – something I’ve been trying to get Achille$ to come to for quite some time.
The plot was straightforward: Linda invited some of Louise’s classmates over for a sleepover, which Louise attempted to sabotage in an effort to get her so-called “friends” to bail. Bob ended up bringing the girls home one-by-one, until the sole survivor actually connected with Louise, and stayed the night.
For a Louise-centered episode, I expected this one to be a bit funnier. Of course she had some good lines (referring to one girl’s boring personality: “If she was a spice, she’d be flour. If she was a book, she’d be two books.”) but overall it was more amusing than laugh-out-loud funny. The youngest sibling’s screen time also took jokes away from the rest of the cast, although attempts were made to incorporate the others.
Don’t let my uncharacteristic brevity fool you, this episode – like all other Bob’s installments – is still worth watching, but it just didn’t tickle me in the way I thought an episode featuring the kids would.
Kind of regretting that last line now.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
