Comedy Central is developing a new animated series inspired by ‘Waco Valley’
Splitsider was the first to report that Comedy Central isn’t looking to slow down its efforts in creating new animated content whether it’d be on television or online. Just the other day it was announced that Moonbeam City starring Rob Lowe is getting a full season order set to air which comes after the announced premier of TripTank, and the ongoing development of CC:Studios to create more animated web series’ following the success of In Security.
This NEW series currently in development is a half hour pilot being developed inspired by the Waco Valley animated web series that first premiered on the popular online network Above Average in 2012 which followed a dinosaur reporter. The series was co-created and produced by Ben Warheit and Jared Neumark, Saj Pothiawala, and Paul Briganti of Landline TV. Ben currently writes for the smash-hit Hulu animated series The Awesomes.
No word yet on if/when this series will see the light of day.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
