AniDom Weekend Wrap Up: “Job Hunt & Ten Pounds Over”

 

 

Here are some takeaways from this past Sunday’s Animation Domination:

1) The Simpsons incorrectly labelled Judas Priest as a ‘death metal’ band. Priest is definitely not a death metal band, they are considered more of a power metal band.

2) The Simpsons actually did a great job of handling the litany of guest stars they had and all were funny. Will Arnett is starting to grow as a dependable voice actor and Seth Rogen is becoming the Alec Baldwin of The Simpsons where he can show up and play any part and as a result will be just as funny no matter what.

3) Kathryn Hahn is starting to show up in a lot of places, this past weekend she was Jessica on Bob’s Burgers and this Monday she plays Chozen’s sister on FX’s new animated series. She’s a great actress and has done a lot of awesome parts for Step Brothers, Anchorman, and others.

4) I love it when The Simpsons throw FOX under the bus.

5) Family Guy closed a rather disappointing episode with a joke Ted already did with having sex on groceries.

6) However, the sperm whale cutaway was hysterically gross.

7) Did you know who won in the ratings for AniDom? I do…they go like The Simpsons (1), Bob’s Burgers (2) Family Guy (3) and American Dad (4). Are you surprised by those numbers?
