Review: Wander Over Yonder ‘The Little Guy’
Spoilers Below
In this episode, Westley (Aziz Ansari) is a not your typical Hater Watchdog. While being the runt of the litter, it seems as if Westley does not have the respect of his peers.
After being left behind on a planet, Westley is given the option – capture Wander & Sylvia or he will never be rescued himself. Wander & Sylvia get word of the conversation and now have their own plan to get Westley rescued.
Throughout the episode, Wander & Sylvia teach Westley to face his fears and enjoy the beauty surrounding the world. As the snow begins to fall on the planet and the weather starts to change, it seems as if Westley’s heart toward the duo changed. Unfortunately it all was a lie as just when Lord Hater arrives, he turns on the team and turns them in…turning himself into a treasured watchdog!
Just when you think all hope is lost, there seems to be an “explosion” with Wander and Sylvia escaping. When Lord Hater views the security camera footage, it appears as if Westley perished in the explosion….but in the end, it was all a part of the plan as Westley escaped with Wander & Sylvia back to the snow planet.
All in all, the message within the final song of the episode sums it up – Being kind can go a long way. I have never felt emotionally attached to a cartoon before until Wander Over Yonder. With the combination of adult humor tackling adult and child issues, this cartoon has far exceeded any of my expectations.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
