Review: High School USA! “Rumspringabreakers”
Spoilers Below
All of the crew are setting out for Spring Break and all are bringing along their parents. Brad hates the fact that these old people are around as they are turning the teens into losers so he heads off and meets these girls whom invite Brad and all of HIS friends to a party. Problem is the parents aren’t allowed to come to the party of which we find out is comprised of all Amish teenagers going nuts! Turns out they are celebrating being the opposite of Amish for one day (kind of like that TLC show Breaking Amish). Brad ends up with one of the Amish chicks, but Marsh calls about a 100 times which leads to the Amish girl and Brad taking off to do a bunch of other shit that the Amish chick normally wouldn’t do due to her religious beliefs. Eventually, Brad and Amish chick decide on getting sex change operations, but Brad doesn’t go through with it after talking to his friends.
I love Mr. Merriwether, I really do think that in Season 2 he can flourish and be as vital of a character for High School USA! as Randy is for South Park. He’s such the anti-parent even in a sea of other anti-parents and we can now confirm this as this episode was one of the first ones where we really got to see the relationship between Brad and HIS mom. T.J. Miller as ‘Brad’ is just so perfect, because Brad carries all of T.J.’s sensibilities like being brash and bleeding with sarcasm at the most inopportune times and if you’ve ever seen Miller do stand up specials or take part as a special guest in shows like The Burn or The Jeselnik Offensive that’s a lot of his act and it’s a lot of funny as a result. T.J.’s turning into a pretty serious voice actor which is good because the upcoming Transformers film should ruin his live-action movie career.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
