Last week both myself and Carl picked the miserable Cowboys to win against the Packers and of course subsequently after Romo threw that last pick I decided to order up NBA League Pass. You see, along with being a Cowboys fan for a life sentence, I am also a die-hard Boston Celtics fan. Earlier this Fall I honestly thought I would be a happy Cowboys fan and a miserable Celts fan due to my boys in green trading a lot of their star players. Fast forward to now and the Celts are in first place while my Cowboys are being lead by the most miserable coaching/GM staff to ever be a part of the game. I like Jerry Jones as an owner, but as a GM, he’s gotta go. Unfortunately, we have to wait for him to die first, so once that happens we will be back to our winning ways.  In the meantime, let’s get to this week’s picks which sees Carl taking the Skins over the Cowboys. After the vid, read on as to why I am picking the Cowboys to win:

Dallas Cowboys

As bad as the Cowboys are off the field, on the field they are still a better team than the Redskins, although not by much. DeMarcus Ware has all but disappeared and Tony Romo makes audibles at the line like an asshole instead of doing what he’s told. In any case, with weapons like Dez Bryant, Jason Witten (who is also part of the Tony Romo problem), and now the emergence of DeMarco Murray as a legit running back, they should have JUST enough to squeak by. That said, the Cowboys have managed to lose to a whole bunch of backup QB’s this season so who the fuck knows?

Washington Redskins

I have never liked RG3, I always thought of him as one torn ACL away from being the next Vince Young. However, I do like Kirk Cousins and I think he can be a solid QB in this league. The Skins have a stellar running game with Al Morris in tow, but if this team gets into a lot of 3rd and long and/or Red situations they literally have no one to throw to other than Pierre Garcon who should have a good game against the most depressing Defense in football. Also, you have to wonder how all of the off field issues are going to effect this team. All year these guys have been hearing about name changes and now Mike Shanahan looks as good as gone so it will be interesting to see if all of the non-football related shit catches up to the players on the field.
