Review: Axe Cop ‘Taxi Cop’
Spoilers Below
This week’s episode is really just a prequel that tells how Flute and Axe Cop got their respective starts in the crime-fighting game. Problem is the regular cops, most notably Ray, aren’t crazy about how Axe taking all of the crime so they turn on the head choppin’ extraordinaire leaving Axe to save Uni-Baby. Afterward, Uni-Man gives Axe his faithful pet Wexter and the cops duo head to a Uni-planet where they have to kill this huge monster. The cops kill the big monster, but then Ray shows up and Axe has to kill him, but not before Flute Cop gets shot and supposedly killed. Thankfully, Uni-Man performs successful surgery and both of the cops make it out alive.
I honestly didn’t understand the logic behind airing an episode that certainly serves as a prequel to everything we’ve seen thus far in terms of Axe Cop lore. That said, you had to appreciate the different intro and the revelation that both Axe and Flute are brothers, but why couldn’t we have gotten this episode in July? I would have even been OK with this episode being the last of the last episodes of Axe Cop episodes, however, there was one episode post this one so that didn’t happen. In a season full of good, this episode serves as the sore thumb.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
