Review: Axe Cop ‘The Dumb List’

Axe Cop has a dumb list and all girls are on it. All of a sudden these Bob girls show up to try and beat up Axe Cop, but they are NO match. Rhino Man’s in town, so the cops set off to do battle. They kill Rhino Man and head back to the station to a swarming mob of the press. It’s here Axe gets a bunch of questions all about girls and his lack of respect. Flute Cop convinces Axe to sign up a girl and he does so bringing on Best Fairy Ever. Night Cop goes on some missions and the Fairy comes along and kind of ruins it, worst yet she wakes Axe Cop first thing in the morning. Turns out Axe and the crew are in a band called Axe, and guess what? They sound AWESOME. BFE wants Axe Cop to be her boyfriend to which he declines because GIRLS ARE DUMB! The Girlie Bobs kidnap Fairy so now Axe has to go inside the TV and save his newest team member. Axe frees Fairy and she defeats Girlie Bob leading the band to rock out.

Anyone who keeps up on the Axe Cop Comics really knows for sure what Axe Cop thinks of women and what that notion eventually leads to. However, I think this episode could very well kick off the next chapter for Axe Cop when it comes to Season Two and furthermore gives way to a number of exciting plot devices for future episodes. I actually thought Best Fairy Ever was rather hysterical and her fight with Girlie Bob was one of the best of the season…no seriously…ONE OF THE BEST. Axe Cop’s band is so Spinal Tap as well, but I really want to know who is singing for Axe Cop because there is no way that is Nick (or is it?). This episode may be called ‘The Dumb List’, but make no bones about it the writing on this show is super smart. If only this show had a longer run time…
